For most of my life cigarettes have been my vice. How many times have I considered quitting? How many times have I tried to quit?  The answer is…I don’t have a clue. I was sure that quitting would be as easy as throwing out my pack and going on with my life.

Although there are dozens of cigarette manufacturers, each one with multiple products, almost all cigarettes are produced in the same way. Since most cigarette companies use similar methods, cigarettes affect people in nearly identical ways regardless of the specific company that manufactured them. This is especially true with nicotine.

The American Association of Public Health Physicians has stated that e-cigarettes “could save the lives of 4 million of the 8 million current adult American smokers who will otherwise die of a tobacco-related illness over the next 20 years."

Experimenting with cigarettes is something of a rite of passage for young people. At some point most teenage schoolchildren will find themselves in a position where they will be offered the opportunity to smoke. We have all been there!
