The ePipe 629 was built to be serviced, not replaced. Every part that wears out or gets lost is stocked separately, so a spent coil, a cracked glass or a misplaced stem costs a few dollars rather than a new pipe. ePuffer has manufactured these parts since 2007 and continues to stock them for existing owners.
Coils differ by generation: the 629X takes the 1.0 ohm atomizer, the 629 X2 takes the X2 mesh coil. Caps, stems and bowls are universal across both. Not sure which you have? Send us a photo and we will identify it before you order.

Three generations, and it matters mainly for coils and tanks:- 629X - 2019 to 2021, rosewood and ebony bowls. Takes the 1.0 ohm atomizer.
- 629 X2 - 2024 MOD tank. Takes the X2 mesh coil.
- X3 - not a separate pipe. It is a tank upgrade for the X2, using cotton filters rather than a conventional coil.
Caps, mouthpiece stems and wood bowls are universal across 629X and X2, so those you can order without checking. If you are unsure which generation you own, send us a photo - we have records going back to 2007.

Change one when flavour turns muted or burnt and does not clear after a refill. How long a coil lasts depends on the e-liquid and how hard you run it - sweeter, higher-VG liquids gum up a coil faster than a dry tobacco blend.
Two habits that extend coil life: prime a new coil by adding a few drops of e-liquid directly onto the wick and waiting five minutes before firing, and store the pipe standing in a stand rather than lying down, which keeps liquid out of the airflow path.

The X2 to X3 tank upgrade at $11.95 moves an existing X2 to the newer X3 tank design. Rather than a conventional coil, the X3 uses cotton filters at $6.95 for 20 - a lower running cost per fill.One trade-off to know before you order: the X3 tank is not compatible with our Churchwarden mouthpieces. If the long stem is part of why you bought the pipe, stay on the X2 tank. The forthcoming ePipe 659 restores full Churchwarden compatibility, so that is the other route if the long stem matters to you.
Everything else on the pipe - bowl, cap, battery - carries over unchanged.

A churchwarden is the traditional long-stemmed pipe - the shape most people picture from period drama. The extra length keeps the bowl further from your face, which changes the balance in the hand and cools the draw over the longer path.Our Churchwarden style mouthpiece at $29.95 fits the 629X and 629 X2. It does not fit the X3 tank upgrade.
If you prefer the standard length, the universal spare stem at $11.95 is the direct replacement, and worth keeping as a backup - the stem is the part most often lost.
